Luc Van Heygen

Luc Van Heygen joined BDP in 1984, where his career spanned a number of operations and corporate staff functions, including Vice President of Special Projects.
In 1991, Van Heygen established BDP’s Projects operations in the United States and soon extended its scope worldwide as Vice President of Project Logistics. Later, he played a key role in the establishment of BDP’s Global Network operations, where he oversaw the company’s business development in Belgium, France and Germany, as well as the integration of a unified European IT platform for BDP.
Van Heygen is a native of Belgium, where he began his transportation and logistics career in the forwarding industry in Antwerp. In addition to his significant experience in European markets, Van Heygen has a strong record in Asia Pacific and other regions. He has an extensive background in many cultures, business practices and global logistics operations.
