- Established full-service logistics operation in Dubai, UAE
- BDP Transport subsidiary (NVOCC) approved by U.S. Customs as a full participant in its Sea Automated Manifest System (AMS), “24-hour rule”
2002
- Named a Responsible Care® Partner company by the American Chemistry Council for demonstrating a continuous commitment to improve environmental, health and safety performance
- Formed Centrx, a BDP knowledge ventureTM and an independent unit of BDP International, was established to design, develop, deploy and manage global supply chain solutions
- Served as logistics provider for the Federal Government’s Operation Safe Commerce (OSC) cargo security project
- First third-party logistics provider to apply to U.S. Customs for certification under the new Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
- Appointed to chair Export Committee of U.S. Customs’ Trade Support Network (TSN), through which user requirements including data for areas such as cargo security were gathered and integrated into the new Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) platform
- Launched Web-based customer service portal, BDPCustomer.com
