BDP Project Logistics receives FMC license
Source: Breakbulk.com, March 12, 2009 – The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has granted BDP Project LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of BDP International, a license to operate as an ocean transportation intermediary, providing freight forwarding services for shipments moving via common carrier from the U.S. to foreign countries.
“This license is extremely important since, as a separate legal entity, we could not provide these services without it,” explained Luc Van Heygen, managing director, Americas and Europe, BDP Project Logistics. “As such, it enhances our ability to support our clients’ projects and to further capitalize on the continuing strength of global activity in this sector.”
Based in Singapore and a wholly owned subsidiary of BDP International, BDP Project Logistics is a leading privately held project logistics and transportation management services company, operating global logistics centers throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the U.S., with a network of owned offices, strategic partnerships and agencies in more than 120 countries. The company provides customized logistics solutions that support engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, mining, oil and gas, power generation and other infrastructure projects.
